& let's just say a little obsession with the show Girls...

Hey there!
I’m just really
all about being inspired this year. I try to find it anywhere I can: Instragram,
magazines, my friends, my students, my mom, and the list goes on. It’s been a
while since I can say that a television show inspires me, and I just HAVE to
share my coup de coeur of 2013. HBO’s
hit tv show GIRLS! I’m a tad late on the bandwagon (season 2 just ended this
past spring), but I have not felt this way in a very long time.
I
won’t write a full-on description of the show, but I will say that it speaks to
my generation (born in the mid-80s, socially connected, smart, and trying to
follow our hearts when it comes to careers.) Creator Lena Dunham is a brilliant
writer and actress, and I cannot get over how much she has inspired me.
What’s
the connection with Instagram? Well, Lena Dunham has an account, and so does
the tv show. Many celebrities have Instagram, and it’s quite thrilling to
follow their pictures, especially when you’re a big fan. Fans can create
tribute accounts, but it’s usually easy to tell the difference between an
original account and a fan’s. In either case, it’s just fun to check out photos
shared by people we normally admire from far away.
