Things my husband cooks for me: Cherry-BBQ sauce

Good day!
One of the trendiest dishes to have hit our kitchens, smokers, and
restaurants in the last few years is pulled pork. Have you ever had it? If
you’re a meat lover, then that’s probably a silly question. If you’re a curious
food lover, then you might have tried it a few times. I am in the latter
category: I’m definitely not meat-crazed, but I do like to try anything at
least one.
This all-American dish is something that my hubby LOVES to cook and
eat. Before I even moved in, he bought himself a slow cooker for this exact
dish. Yes, slow cookers are great to prepare delicious and wholesome meals, but
we never used it for anything but pulled pork. Go figure. My husband enjoys
taking his time to find the perfect spices for the rub, and then proceeds to
forget the meat for 8-hours in the slow cooker. However, what he probably
enjoys even more than the meat itself is the sauce that goes with it. He makes
a mean cherry-bbq sauce that is just the perfect
addition to the pulled pork.
Now before anyone gets too excited, I must say that I will not be
sharing the recipes in this blogpost. I apologize! My husband got the recipe
from someone who made him swear to
never reveal how this sauce is made. I’m not even allowed to know everything
that’s in it! I can understand since the sauce is out of this world. I hate to
leave you hanging, but I can say that there are cherries in it… Again, I’m
sorry!
This past weekend, some friends of ours invited us over for, what
else, pulled pork. It was my husband’s time to shine! He’s been making the
cherry-BBQ sauce since last year, and he’s been getting better and better at
it. Last Saturday, he prepared the sauce a few hours before heading out, and as
expected, the sauce was a hit. I was a proud wife!
