Things my husband cooks for me... or not.
août 27, 2013
Hey peeps!
Well my hubby hasn’t really cooked anything as of late. We’ve been
busy celebrating our birthdays, our one-year wedding anniversary (yay!), and generally
being summertime lazy. Can’t really blame us, right? Except that… I wasn’t too
sure what to share with you all. Fear not, inspiration hit me when my hubby and
I were introduced to a delightfully original treat.
We went to visit my hubby’s cousin Katia last week (a terrific
hostess with the mostest!) We caught up on life over glasses of wine and little
snacks. After an evening of laughs, we ended with the cutest little dessert:
Island Way Sorbets.
Island Way Sorbets can be found at Costco for a little less than 15$. There are 10 “fruits” per box. |
These are healthy
sorbets served in actual fruit husks. If you’re anything like me, you probably
like giving objects a second life. It’s ecofriendly and eco-charming (is that a even a term?) Anyway, eating sorbet
out of a coconut shell, a half-pineapple, an orange, and even a lemon is
totally adorable and enjoyable! It was not just cute, but tasty too! Each fruit
contains the its flavor of sorbet.
Katia and I are similar because we both appreciate quirky and cute
little things in life, and we both love to host. Impress your guests with this
sweet little South African treat, or even bring some over to a dinner party.
The unusual presentation will surely be a hit!!!
