#Pizza1989 - La Piazetta celebrates!

Last Wednesday I attended a tasty 25th birthday party! La Piazzetta turned 25 years young, and they invited a few bloggers to share in the celebration. As we sat on the terrasse of their Sainte-Catherine street east location, we hashtagged the afternoon away (#pizza1989 – I really dig the throwback feel!)

We were served some yummy classics (like cheese and vegetarian.) However, the best part was getting to try some of their new summery selections, including fresh entrées and new pizzas. My favorite bites were the lobster pizza (!!!)  and an incredibly tasty Mexican wrap. Along with my glass of white wine, in the sunshine on the terrasse? De-lightful!





Even if it wasn’t my birthday, I got a gift! A sleek black apron commemorating La Piazetta’s 25th anniversary, which includes the recipe to their latest creation, La Pizza Cugina.  Marinated chicken, cheese, green and red peppers, onions, shallots and coriander… It doesn’t get any fresher than that! Even more interesting: you can purchase the dough, the sauce, and the marinated chicken at La Piazetta, all ready for you to take home and assemble (as I wear my cute new apron.)
