If you’re looking for a unique way to experience summer evenings in Montreal, boy do I have a treat for you.
I recently had the pleasure of boarding a catamaran, from the docks of our beautiful Old Port, and enjoyed views of the city like never before.

Croisières Le Montréalais has partnered with Auberge sur la route (the catering division of Auberge St-Gabriel) in order to provide a very special Montreal experience filled with class and spectacular views. Le Montréalais catamaran offers a few interesting options. First, a prolonged 5à7 on Thursdays and Fridays has guests cruising past some of Montreal’s iconic landmarks like Habitat 67, snapping Instagram shots of our picturesque downtown skyline and ordering some freshly prepared food. Like most 5à7s, the party doesn’t stop when you dock and you can continue enjoying your drink and the DJ’s beats as the sun starts to set.
Also, instead of frustratingly elbowing your way amidst the hoards of tourists and locals trying to catch the best spot for the fireworks competition, why not just wave at them teasingly from a fancy catamaran? Le Montréalais offers supper cruises, specifically to watch the fireworks. As if that wasn’t fantastic enough, the supper menu draws inspiration from the competing country of that evening. I’m positive that with the DJ on board, the shining lights of the city and the delicious food, Le Montréalais is the ultimate and romantic vantage point to watch the always-impressive fireworks.
Finally, Le Montréalais also offers private events. Whether it’s for a corporate event, wedding or anniversary, the catamaran can fit up to 300 guests, and benefits from a couple of floors and terrasses, as well as bars.
