Charity, Celebrity Chefs, Jeans and Pancakes: Diesel Pancake Event #dieselcrepes #OneXOne

On the beauftiful morning of Wednesday,
July 9th, the Diesel Store downtown Montreal was buzzing with a
hungry and excited crowd for a very special event, held for a great cause. The
one and only chef Chuck Hughes was flipping pancakes for the ONEXONE Million
Meals Movement.
That’s right. Anyone and everyone had the opportunity to get up close and
personal with the famous chef. You know, the one with his own show, Chuck’s Day
Off? The one who defeated Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America? Yeah, him. He
created a unique recipe just for the event organized by the 1Milk2Sugars PR
firm, and he was joined by Danny Smiles (another local talent that was on Top
Chef Canada), and many other familiar Montreal faces. Needless to say, the
pancakes were fluffy and as delicious as the ones you’d imagined in the fantasies
where Chuck personally cooks for you. He was playful, posed for photos and
seemed so genuinely happy to be part of an event that’ll make a difference.
The Diesel Pancakes event was incredibly
well attended: DJ Yo-C and DJ Abeille spun the coolest songs while we watched the
chefs do their thing, Coeur de Pirate helped flip some pancakes, Miss Prêt à
Manger handed healthy and refreshing smoothies, and pretty much every local
news and entertainment outlet and blogger was there to
cover the event.
ONEXONE is a charitable organization responsible
for a program that can deliver a healthy breakfast for only $1 a day to First
Nation’s schools. Jars at the event were filled with donations to help children
in need. If you missed out, you can easily make a donation to the organization

Not a bad way to start a random July hump
