Voyez les ados autrement! #semaine11_17ans

septembre 26, 2014

For the very first time, the Fondation Québec Jeunes is hosting a week dedicated to 11-17 year-olds, or La Semaine des 11-17 ans. Encouraging the population to “see teens differently,” the organization’s campaign aims raise awareness towards the many difficulties that Quebec teenagers face today.

Although it may seem like young people have it easy with today’s tech and social media, teens still face a lot of the same challenges that they always have: bullying, dropping out of school, and poverty. Sadly, many of today’s teens are also faced with health problems related to poor nutrition (i.e. obesity.)

How cute is Rachel (Alexïs's daughter) wearing her glasses!

The Fondation Quebec Jeunes’ has launched their red glasses campaign: take a selfie wearing a pair of their lunettes rouges, and share it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) By purchasing a pair of these glasses (10$), your money will help support the organization and the much needed help they bring to teenagers across the province.

Helping teens is a direct way to help shape the future of our society. Giving hope to a young person is likely to give them a chance to pursue a better lifestyle. So, hashtag it (#semaine11_17ans), and make it happen!
