A few years ago, I started a little Christmas ritual that I now look
forward to every year. Cooking magazines are great to flip through all year
long, but holiday editions are kinda magical. It’s the time of year when I’m a
little extra motivated to bake and craft, so it’s really fun to read up on some
ideas in a shiny magazine.
I used to have a subscription to the Food Network Magazine, and I guess this is when my ritual started. The glossy pages of Christmas cookies were incredibly inspiring. If you’re looking for gift ideas, this issue is full of them, especially for the foodie\chef on your list. You’ll even find a list of top 50 cookbooks recommended by chefs from the Food Network.
This year, I got the brand new English edition of Ricardo (our
beloved chef Quebecois!) I am quite impressed with the magazine, especially
since I am always looking for hosting ideas. The magazine contains lots of
recipes, facts, and fun decorating tips. I particularly enjoyed the write up on
Christmas memories and traditions from Ricardo’s family. It’s fun to read about
how others spend the holidays with their loved ones.
