Hey there!
Last
weekend, I went to the National Women’s Show at Palais des Congrès. It was the
event’s tenth anniversary, and it was, as usual, filled with an abundance of
kiosks catered to women’s interests. Some were typical, some not so much. I
share with you here my favorites of the show.
Favorite #1: Les Pétards!
We
had the chance to meet last fall at their launch party, and Catherine has been pretty busy ever since. Their all natural, Quebec-made care products are delightful and beautifully packaged. (They also work
really well, in case you were wondering!) For this event, the girl came up
with an exclusive product: Un ananas dans
ta face, an exfoliating facial mask with no preservatives. With a name like
that, I couldn’t resist to get myself a jar. I can’t wait to get pineapple all
up in my face.
Favorite
#2: Bad Monkey Popcorn
Popcorn
is a nice light snack, and these guys are taking it to a whole other level. They
had typical flavors like cheddar and caramel, but they also had “Moroccan” which
was quite yummy too. The popularity of this booth was no surprise. When you
give out free yummy treats, the people will come running.
Favorite
#3: #BeCrueltyFree
The
Humane Society of Canada attracted attention to their booth with a person
dressed as a rabbit, and she held a sign that said: “#BeCrueltyFree”. Talk
about mixing old school with modern flair. They encouraged people to sign
commitment cards (attached to little plush bunnies)which would be sent to the
federal government. I liked the unique approach to lobbying for better animal
protection laws.

#4: Pink BowTie
This
boutique based in Ontario had one of the loveliest booths. I’m kind of a purse
addict with self-control, but I couldn’t help but look at every single creation
these ladies had on display. It was all so pretty!
Favorite
#5: Matt & Steve’s Extreme Bean
This
company offers an array of pickled veggies that are super delicious! They even
have their own rimmer mix, which I purchased right away after tasting their
version of a bloody ceasar. Soooo good!
